Lyrics
Verse 1
My coat on the stairwell, one sleeve in the rain
I say, “Just a minute,” then vanish again
The kitchen clock stutters; the sink runs cold
I count all the strangers by the rings that they hold
Pre-Chorus - Rising tension
I keep my eyes on the door
Like the room might split in two
You know what I came here for
But you can't get through to me
Chorus
Stay till the room tilts sideways
Stay till the names come loose
I take the night in handfuls
Then wake with nothing to prove
Stay till the walls start breathing
Stay till the first birds move
I wanted out of my own skin
Now it's still there, waiting for my ends
Verse 2
blue cup sweats circles into the wood
I laugh at a story nobody understood
She's in the hallway keeps calling out my name
I mouth “I'm okay” like a match to a flame
Pre-Chorus
I keep my eyes on the door
Like the room might split in two
You know what I came here for
But you can't get through to me
Chorus
Stay till the room tilts sideways
Stay till the names come loose
I take the night til my vein hurts
Then wake with nothing to prove
Stay till the walls start breathing
Stay till the first birds move
I wanted out of my own skin
Now it's still there, waiting for my ends
Bridge
You don't have to tell me it's fine.
I can hear you shaking the glass.
One more hour
One more lie
You say you're leaving
You don't say goodbye
Guitar Solo 8 bars
Final Chorus
Stay till the room tilts sideways
Stay till the names come loose
I take the night til my vein hurts
Then wake with nothing to prove
Stay till the walls start breathing
Stay till the first birds move
I wanted out of my own skin
Now it's still there, waiting for my ends

The story
Stay 'Til the Room Tilts | Dorian Duerinckx (Official Animated Music Video)
Some nights you lose yourself. Other nights, you discover there's nowhere left to hide.
"Stay 'Til the Room Tilts" is a dark, groove-driven alternative rock song about losing your grip on reality, searching for an escape, and confronting the demons that refuse to disappear when the night is over.
Built around crushing down-tuned guitars, a thick, infectious funk-rock groove, haunting blues-infused guitar leads, and raw, emotionally charged vocals, the song moves between hypnotic restraint and explosive intensity.
The accompanying animated music video brings this twisted psychological landscape to life through electric neon imagery against a pitch-black background. Distorted rooms, fractured memories, and shifting realities transform into a surreal visual journey where the music and imagery collide.
"Stay till the room tilts sideways. Stay till the names come loose."
It's a song about isolation, self-destruction, emotional disconnection, and those desperate hours between midnight and morning when everything feels different—but nothing has really changed.
There's no easy way out. No clean escape. Sometimes the one thing you can't run from is yourself.
